Swimming

Hey, I/m 15 and I turn 16 next month. I'm on the high school swim team. Here is a link to see where you are according to the USA swimming association. www.swimmingguy.com...
An average high school swimmer is usually in between BB and A. I am in A-AA for some of my events and
i am very close to going to districts. Which is a step below states. Don't stress out if you are below a B time, because i am in my fly and a little close on my breast. If you have a B time, that is great.
They do classify for C and CC and such, i dont know why they are on there.
ounds like you are new so dont expect to be meeting all these times right away.
for the 100 fly, I would say try to breath every other stroke,
the less breaths you take the better, although you may find this tiring.
Play with a certain combo per lap, and see how you do. Focus on the pull in fly and really woork your turns hard.
for the 100 free, go all out, dont hold anything back. Attack the race right away.
The first two strokes determine your pace of the race, make them great ones.

Focus on pulling and not crossing your arms uhonor body. When you swim you shouldnt have your arms be
pulling underneath your body. This is a very common flaw in a lot of swimmers.
give your last lap a 110% and when you finish, dont slow down, go fast. Kick your legs,
reach out far in your stroke, dont spend any time at the wall. Dont loose focus whenever you are racing.
Dont look at anybody else either, it is a race against the clock.
Once you look at somebody and loose focus your technique falls apart and your slow down a lot.
oh and for the times, since you are 15, ideal range for you would be BB-A.
If you are there you are above average. The system works just like school does,
where B is abover average and A is outstanding. AAAA times are just ridiculous,
you dont see a lot of those kind of people out there in the swimming world. Good luck and have a great season.
